The Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) course is a one-day (6-hour) programme designed to give you the essential skills to respond to workplace emergencies with confidence.

It’s ideal for lower-risk workplaces, smaller teams, or anyone who needs a straightforward First Aid certificate for employment or site requirements. Training is practical, supportive, and focused on what you’re most likely to face in real situations.

You’ll learn key skills including:

How to assess an incident and act safely
CPR and using an AED (defibrillator)
Choking procedures
Recovery position and unconscious casualty care
Managing bleeding, shock and minor injuries

I recently completed a 6-hour first aid training session with Shane, and it was an excellent experience. He is a very knowledgeable and engaging trainer who explained everything clearly and made the session easy to understand. His teaching style was interactive, and he made sure everyone was involved and confident in applying the techniques. I really appreciated how he used real-life examples and practical demonstrations, which made the learning much more effective and memorable. He was also very patient and happy to answer all questions in detail. I feel much more confident in my first aid skills after this training. I recently attended the Emergency First Aider training day with Training Networks. Shane has an engaging training style and brings a huge wealth of knowledge and experience, which brought a (could be quite) dry subject to life - and made it easier for us to think on our feet. Just completed the 6 hour First aid course with Shane(march 2026). The course was brilliant, mostly because Shane is such a great instructor. The way he described everything and tested you was top notch. Would highly recommend this course, plus you can’t beat the price and the quality of instruction is amazing. Will definitely be renewing.

Very detailed and well executed course. I did the DS & CCTV back to back & was so so worth it in the end. Shane was great trainer ! So patient. He had a lot of knowledge and experience in security. If you want to get your badge he’s the best choice! He was super accommodating and aware of all our different learning styles which was nice. Thank you Shane once again!!
